The kids: It's a wonderful life

Belle turned 1 this week! She had ice cream for the first time for the big day. She cried when it was gone! The other 2 kids didn't really care much about their first ice cream experience. This picture isn't from her birthday since I haven't gotten to downloading pics yet. I'll try to get to that soon.

Look how cute Emily can be while pointing a tinker toy weapon at her mom. Standing on one foot happened to be a very important part of the picture for her too. It wasn't really warm enough for the swim suit either, but when you're 3 it just works any ol' time.

I'm a Minivan Mom

Well, here's the good news! I hope that you enjoy the pics since I took them out in the rain:)
We finally moved our family into a minivan yesterday. It's a 2001 Toyota Sienna CE. We are enjoying all the room it offers. I'm not used to being up so high while I drive, but I'm sure I'll "suffer" through it! Yippee:)

Bad news first

Well, our car got hit while parked on the street. I think that I saw that car that did it while I was returning from my test drive. (More about that later.) Any way, I'm really bummed. No note was left on our car. They just drove away.
Poor car. Michael said that our car had gotten hit a little. We have different ideas of what constitutes "a little".
I was imagining a little door bump with a dent or a crease not a whole drive a cross the side of my car and leave paint behind! Oh, well. Good news to follow...

Recent happenings

Here's a nice shiner that Emily gave to Adam. Daddy took Emily and Adam to the driving range one evening. Adam felt low and was laying on the ground while dad ran to get the blood sugar monitor. He told Emily to keep the club away from Adam. Well, the "Big Bertha" driving club seemed to find it's way to Adam's cheek. Michael returned to find Emily horror struck, Adam crying and saying between sobs for breath, "Don't...don't...punish....her....it...was...an...accident."
Belle and Emily preparing for a ride to the park in the trailer. This was Belle's first time. We quickly got a pick before strapping on the helmet. Let's just say she didn't like that fish bowl apparatus much.
Isn't Belle getting so big! She had fun running all over the park while I tried to keep basketballs from raining down on her head as she chased Adam and Emily on the basketball court.

Random Sampler

I've neglecting posting anything. So here's a runt of a rabbit that escaped being filleted by the lawn mower. The grass had not been cut for some time, so we were unaware that a rabbit had built a little burrow under a few inches of dead grass. Michael mowed right over it! After he passed, this lucky little hairless creature escaped. It's eyes weren't open yet, but it could hop!
Here is one of Adam's birthday presents. He has a little amp too. Daddy just got an accustic guitar from Mommy for their anniversary. Partridge Family look out!
The kids had a great time at the beach during our trip to CA. Can you remember the thrill of running and the joy that came from running from and in FREEZING water? Me neither. Thank goodness children can remind us!
